Following the Coup, A Dismal Economic Performance in the First Half of FY 2022
On April 11, 2019, the peaceful Sudanese revolution deposed Omar al-Bashir and his regime after thirty years in power. Regime change created a window of opportunity for fundamental reforms. After the inauguration of Dr. Hamdok as Prime Minister and appointment of the civilian-led government, Sudan embarked on a journey of re-opening itself to the world and began restoring normal diplomatic and economic relations with international financial institutions (IFIs).
